First steps

Clear, time-saving, structured.

• Open the Finstral Composer via the desktop icon or your web browser.
• Enter your username and password to access the home screen.
• The home screen includes direct links (hotkeys) to important functions within the Composer (create offer, create order, offer/order overview) and external links to Finstral websites (extranet and Composer support). These links also appear in the “Offer/Order management” menu item.
• All Finstral Composer screen templates are similar: the red button means “close without saving”, while the blue button means “close and save”.
• If a blue border appears after clicking on a field, the reference table can be opened using the F9 key or clicking on the right-hand mouse button.
• In addition to the home screen, there are two main views: an offer/order overview with all your previously created offers and orders, as well as an item overview where you can enter and review the current offer and the respective items.
• You can close the Finstral Composer using the menu item “End” > Exit program.

• You can save frequently used commands to your favourites: simply right-click in the menu and select Add to favorites. The command will be displayed in the left-hand area of the home screen, clearly visible and quickly accessible.
• Remove the favorites menu from the left-hand side by clicking the right-hand mouse button on the area header > Delete.
• Customise your table views: for example, the column display and column order can be customised by right-clicking on the table > Configuration in the item overview.
• You can show or hide the individual display windows in the offer entry screen via the “Display” menu: you can thus for example show or hide the image preview.
• You can adjust the size of the areas with the mouse if desired.
• You can define groupings for certain reference aids so as to make data entry faster, for example in the “Product type and material” default setting on the left-hand side of the screen.
